Tanto sheath

Hello everyone, on a tanto sheath are these characters. Can someone explain to me what these mean please? Kind Regards, Carl

"Ha Letter/Woman and ? and ?"

It's describing something about the blade, but the writing is to obscure for me to read. And there is a scratch right over the third character, so I can't tell if its "letter" or "woman", and neither of them make sense from the context. It looks like a strange shape for a tantō.
