Help Translating WWII Good Luck Flag

Hello,
Would it be possible for some basic translation of this Good Luck Flag? I realize there is far too much to translate, but was hoping for just a little insight. If it appears authentic, possibly the soldiers name, a date or place? Compared to other flags I have seen it appears to have a lot of writing. Is there any significance regarding the number of people that signed it? Material is silk or similar.

Any input would be most appreciated

The flag says, in largish letters vertically down the right side of the flag.

禱武運長久 Pray for good luck in battle.
歩兵伍長水口泰一殿 (to) Corporal Yasukazu MIZUGUCHI

謹呈水口千代治 presented from Chiyoharu MIZUGUCHI (presumably the corporal's father).

In the four corners of the flag are the words 赤心報告 (means basically "devote yourself sincerely to the country".)

The rest are all signatures. Well, mostly signatures. I haven't gone over them in detail to see if there are any other patriotic slogans on it.
