A few pages ago I read you're in social sciences. Would you mind telling me which departments you applied for at Waseda and Todai?
 
Hello guy is Quingueni typing, it is my first time to post arround, I am also waiting for the fianal result in December, i would ike to ask is an one received a LoA from one of this 3 Universities: Kyoto University, The University of Electro-Communication, and The University of AIZU. Please special guys from Africa were I am from, let we cry together or celebrate it together kkkkkkkk....
 
My friends, is not being easy this side.....waiting, after waiting....I am almost dead with this killing.

Hi every one I'm in the stage of waiting, waiting and waiting .....LOL :emoji_nerd:
I'm sharing my current situation.....
Whenever I open my Laptop or Mobile, the first thing I open is my gmail, with a lot more curiosity.
When a new mail come with my unique mail tone , It takes some micro second to check that mail.
And when there is no new mail, I try to refresh the page more than 5 times along with my spam box too. Although I know its like some madness ! :emoji_slight_frown:
But every time it makes me disappointed no mail regarding the second screening...:emoji_rolling_eyes:
I was not familiar to this thread, just yesterday Shree(one of applicant like me) introduced me about it.
It's really quiet helpful and there are so many active members are here. I started reading the previous comments. And It took me about 4 hours to read most of the previous comments and the experiences shared by the applicants .
And I found that I'm not the only one who has this panic during waiting time ! :emoji_slight_smile:


Mean while I called the the embassy but Mr. Sinha told me he will contact me when they get the information from MEXT...
They could't tell about the number of scholarship also ! :emoji_confused:

I wish I could hibernate myself until December ! Can't concentrate in my work.......
I'm trying to forget that I've applied for it. :emoji_frowning:
I don't know if I'm gonna get any mail from either University or potential supervisor.....
So just I've to wait and hope for the best with finger crossed..... :emoji_neutral_face:

Mine is UEC university of Electro-Communication in tokyo city, The university of Aizu fukushima city and kyoto university kyoto city. so far I did not see anyone with this preference.

Waseda - GSAPS (Was recommended to me by a very prominent researcher in my field).
UTokyo - Having a bit of an issue here, will update.

I'm a little tired of waiting, if the answer is positive I need to do soooo many things -_-.

Hi, calm Down guys, everyone will be in Japan next here, if we make to come until this stage, it means we going to make it for the next stage too. There is nothing we can, and we cannot do to change. Will happen what has to happen. and what has to happen is the JAPANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN to all of us.:emoji_grin::emoji_grin::emoji_grin::emoji_grin::emoji_grin:
 
Guys sorry for asking, anyone from this forum got a LoA from UEC, University of Electro-Communication. So far I never see anyone talking about this university. not here or somewhere else.
 
HI everyone!!!
Please, I was wondering, in case one doesn't pass the second screening (Not wishing that though), is it possible to still go to Japan as a normal research student in one of the universities you received your LoAs from? since they've already accepted as a research student... Just have to prove financial proficiency at the embassy during visa application right ?
PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME OUT
 
The LOAs you received can only be used for Embassy-Recommended MEXT acceptance. So, if something happened and you didn't get through the final round, the LOAs would be void and you would have to apply another way.
 
Hello guys,.. how many of us are working professionals? I have already started selling my stuff. We both (myself and my wife) are eagerly looking forward to begin our studies from 2018... hope all of us get selected in the final selection... ALL THE BEST

But I was thinking that the acceptance letter they send you means they've accepted you as a research student on condition that you get the scholarship... So if you don't get the scholarship and still have a mean to finance your studies at their university as a research student, you should be fine since the decision of the graduate school to accept you as a RS was based on the documents you provided, and in case you re-apply to become A research student, only the same docs would have to be reviewed. The LoA for MEXT might be valid only for the scholarship purposes, but the univ may send you their normal acceptance letter for your use, AM I RIGHT ???

The LOAs for Embassy MEXT scholars are conditional. The university is assuming that the embassy and MEXT are shouldering a significant portion of the evaluation process. If MEXT ends up rejecting your application, then from the university's perspective you didn't pass the whole process and are not qualified.

I have heard second-hand rumors of people failing secondary screening, but have never seen an example in person. The only reasons I know of where this could happen would be if MEXT determined that your research topic was related to WMDs (prohibited), if they found that you had lied on your application or were otherwise not qualified, or if they determine that you are on an international no-fly list, etc. In any of those cases, the university wouldn't want you as a student, either!

Honestly, I don't think you have anything to worry about at this point!
