Looking for Japanese survey respondents (Married Japanese)

Hi there,

I am studying Applied Linguistics in the UK and I have an online survey about the patterns of apology between Japanese couples. I really have no idea how to distribute this survey in Japan. Can you help me distributing this online survey? Or tell me about survey distribution agencies in Japan?

Thank you very much

For the best possible assistance you should be a little more clear about your target group :)

Hi Cocoichi,

Well, my target group are married Japanese who spent 5 years or more together. :)

Hi Monnalisa,

That still seems very broad, and I wonder if that will help you get the answers you want. Patterns might be different by subculture, age, position in society, geographical location within Japan, etc. I think you would help yourself to find a more homogenous group (for example; couples in Tokyo between 30 and 40 that have been together five years and have 0/1/at least kids. IUnless you want to compare data within this group, but then you really need a lot of respondents.

I think your best bet to get this spread out, is to post it on fora that are often frequented by Japanese women. Maybe people here can point you towards those sites. I unfortunately can't.

Thank you very much cocoichi, this is really helpful :)

Actually I am aiming at a small-scale sociolinguistic study including differences based on age, sex, and total years of marriage.

Good luck in your studies Monnalisa. I am also from the UK, lived in Tokyo for 2o-odd years married to a Wakayama man so had to give you some encouragement. So much that I see online is dark and ugly...here to provide some light and maybe help if I can.
Peace
