Hi guys,
I was wondering what the last line means of this conversation. It is from a textbook.
受付 reception desk, information desk etc.
呼び出す can be to call to summon etc.
てもらう to do for someone or receive a service....?
The conversation is as follows:
<デパートで>
のり子さん:カルロスさんはどこ?
ノーイさん:さっきからいないけど。。。。
のり子さん:受付で呼び出してもらいましょう。
Is it like this.
Where is Carlos?
He hasn't been here for quite a while.
He has be called to the information desk.

How does the てもらいましょう work here?

よろしくお願いします

What is the functions of ~ましょう? Have you never seen this form?
(Hint: the volitional of ます)

Thanks toritoribesan.
Yes its the volition which means let's.
So it is more like
Lets have the reception desk call him out.

I had this tunnel vision of Carlos being already called to the desk. I think I mixed ましょう with でしょう.
Like she was saying I wonder if he has been called.
