I Need Help Identifying an Instrument

At 0:40 of this video, RZA (a music producer) plays some sort of traditional Asian instrument. It looks like a Japanese horizontal harp. Also, he's striking the strings (I think they're strings) with sticks. But they're carved in some sort of why. I'm having a terrible time identifying the instrument.
Can you help me? Maybe you can identify the instrument he's using for me. Thanks in advance.

It looks like a hammered dulcimer (and nothing whatsoever like a Japanese horizontal harp).

Did you try contacting the guy and asking him what it is?

Thanks so much for helping me out. I had no idea what that thing was. I thought it was Japanese or Chinese due to the sound of the instrument. the notes RZA was playing on it made me think of Japan and China. Without your help, I would of been searching in the completely wrong direction. The person who uploaded the video is just a fan of Afro Samurai . I'm 90% sure he doesn't know anything about the instruments RZA was using. Thanks again.
