Photos-on-the map sites (alternatives to google maps)

I really like using Google Earth to view pictures of all kinds of places (urban, rural, unpopulated landscapes etc.). besides user pictures, there are panoramic street views which are even better for my purposes.

In russian net we've got that ambitious website where users upload OLD PHOTOS and attach them to the map. It's captivating to explore the places you know and see how they looked many years ago (and by "old" pictures i mean even 2000s since landscapes and urban development can change rapidly these days). What I'm looking for are similar japanese websites. Not necessarily dedicated to old pictures, but alternatives to Panoramio (google earth/maps) pictures.

Slightly off topic but I thought I'd share one of my favourite games - GeoGuesser, which uses Google Earth.
It gives you five random pictures which you can move around 360 degrees and zoom in or zoom out of. You then guess where it is in the World and are awarded points by how close you get.
It's tempting to use google to search for names on signs etc, but see how you go without it.

Warning ... Very interesting, great fun but also completely addictive!!

Hell yeah! I've had my share of GeoGuesser some time ago, that was fun! Thanks for reminding me of it.
