Check understanding + Line of a song.

1. It's about sentences describing nouns. Please check that these are correct:

卵を買った男 = a man that bought eggs.

店に行って卵を買った男 = a man that went to a store and bought eggs.

店に行って卵を夕食のために買った男 = a man that went to the store and bought eggs for dinner.

Breaking away from that, this:

彼は何があっても仲間を守る男だ = he is a man who will protect his comrades no matter what may happen.

One final example:

闇を見極めるものだけは輝っている光の兵になる = only those who see through the darkness will become shining warriors of light.

I expect errors here and there (or everywhere). Please make necessary corrections.

2. As for the "line of a song" it is this:

"フェアリーテイル この手で 掴んだ光は" (Spaces were actually there).

I am pretty sure that this is describing the 光。But it's different to the others somehow. at first I thought it was "The light that Fairy Tail seized with their own hands" but then I actually looked at it and then translated it literally literally backwards (how I usually translate Japanese literally) it ends up like "the light that was seized with these hands Fairy Tail." Which of course makes no sense. So yeah. I don't know what is going on here. Please assist.

輝っている is grammatically wrong.
I prefer 見透かす, which connotes "to see the true, especially evil nature of something", and 輝ける, which is a classical way of saying 輝いている.

That line is not a single sentence/clause. There actually is a period after フェアリーテイル.

This form is still used in classical expressions, for instance 花咲ける騎士道 "the Japanese title of an old French movie 'Fanfan la Tulipe'" or 生ける屍 "living dead". (As you can see, 生ける is different from the potential form 生きられる. This 生け is 已然形 of a classical verb 生[い]く.)

Yeah, I realize. I just initially thought it was Fairy Tail's hand for some reason. I guess that would have just been フェアリーテイルの手で or something.
