who's waiting for their JLPT result?

I got my result today. Although I passed the test with 148 points, I didn't to do well on the language knowledge part. Reading was pretty good, which I am pretty satisfied about.

Davey, thanks for letting us know! I am still waiting on my results but they usually arrive in the states about a week after they come out in Japan. Should be the same for Aussi. I am psyched. I will be checking every day!

Hi Davey

I think you guys in Japan are really lucky, because JLPT outside Japan does not provide points on etc.
Still waiting for mine.

Grats! Mind me asking what level?

Does anyone know when they arrive in Europe?

I did level 3, so it was pretty easy. I am going for N2 this July!

This is what is written on the Official JLPT website:

When and how do I receive test results?

A Score Report will be mailed to all examinees. In Japan, Score Reports for the first (July) test will be sent in early September and Score Reports for the second (December) test will be sent in mid-February. To examinees outside of Japan, Score Reports will be sent via local host institutions, and examinees will receive a report for the first (July) test in mid-September and a report for the second (December) test in early March. If you do not receive a report by the end of the scheduled month, please contact the local institution in the city where you took the test.

Nice, I did N4 and I'm pretty sure I failed. But if I were to redo it this summer I would pass no doubt. But I might wait and take N3 in december instead. I guess I'll make up my mind when I get the result.

I guess I have some time to wait then. I did it in another country as well so I guess it can take a little time to send it as well.

Does anyone know exactly why the test results take so long to get back to us? In the case of tests like TOEFL, students usually have their scores in 2-4 weeks.

Me neither. Checking the mail everyday though. I wish they would put them online again.

Of course. It is a score report. Doesn't matter what the score is, you still get one.

I read somewhere today for those countries with no July exam, the certificate will be sent out in mid March. Australia is one such country.

That would mean I will have to wait for another month.

Yeah, I have read that before too. But we don't have a July test in the U.S. either and I am pretty sure I got my score around the end of February last year. If I remember correctly they said end of Feb/beginning of March at the end of the actual test.

Oh well, glad I am not the only one who is freaking out about it.

Funny how a small country like New Zealand have July exams but America and Australia don't.

Congratulations Financial War (what's up with the name btw)! Good luck for the n3 now (or the n2)

Congrats! Apparently they get to Australia quicker. I'm still waiting on mine :(
Good luck with your N3 studies!
