要 = requirement
気持ち = feeling; sensation; mood

- って、勉強してる人に言っちゃだめか
勉強してる = to learn/study

It's impossible to interpret the meaning of the sentence just looking up each word individually in the dictionary.

You're not to the point where you can "translate" such text. What you're trying to do is "decode" it. People are reluctant to help in cases like this because you don't yet have the basics and anything and everything would involve long explanations.

It's sort of like a kid who just learned numerals asking people to help him with algebra....there's not much point to it.

That's true.
I know my Japanese is not that advanced now.
It's just that some nice Japanese woman from lang-8 commented with this and obviously she knows Japanese better than me.
In addition, I don't mind learning new things! not at all! (you can see that by all of the questions I'm asking)
But I have been told it is not good for me to over do it...

You will have more success in learning Japanese if you CALM DOWN and devote time to learning things IN ORDER rather than jumping around like a frog on a hot skillet. You will also annoy people less and receive more help with your questions.

not "opportunity" but "opponent"

伝われば = if introduced

伝われば is used as more likely （意味が）伝わりさえすれば or "as far as the meaning can be conveyed"

What do you think about the function of the particle の here, i.e., the relation between どこ and 言葉? You shouldn't ignore it.

The subject is "I".

So it isn't the royal "we" (or the royal "you" nowadays, I suppose)? I was interpreting it as "people shouldn't..." rather than "I shouldn't..." but maybe that's because that's more how I would say it in English.

At first I read （意味が）伝わりさえすれば as 意外... Man, did that not make sense! haha
