let me know what happened and good luck!Ok, thank you for sharing.
hey!i am applying for a humatarian master,i think the essential thing is that you have a backround research since the humanitarian fields are as important as the scientific onesRandom question: has any of you applied to make a research in the humanitarian fields like me? I have the feeling that almost everyone applying for this scholarship is specializing in science/engineering/medicine. I wonder if MEXT considers humanitarian programs as not trustworthy.
congratulation for those who get good news and I wish you the best in Japan.Unfortunatly I was rejected but I still hoping and never give up.I will try next year also.you can update the list in adding Burkina Faso my country. Thanks for all the things I learn with you in this forum.
You are Ahmed not MEXT so do not worry, but just they take along time till now and no one of the candidate in Egypt has any news about the secondary screening.................. Do you think there is a hope....:smoke:

I do not know what is the next decision, but it seems a deadly silence, and we are waiting from more than one month, and the person get bored from this strategy... but if you have any solution tell me to adapt myself according to it...There is always a hope,
:smoke:
But the only hope for me is "exclusion of the Egyptian candidates from the cuts"
This is nearly impossible, isn't it??
:smoke:
I feel deeply hurted by these cuts.![]()

Congratulations to jophillia and benhlandau who got some kind of good news. Being an alternate is not the best (I was an alternate too) but there is still hope!!! and for jophillia, let's hope the "in principle" last until "the end" and you get a full-full notification soon.

From the evidence I am inclined to believe that someone (MEXT or the embassy) made a cut by sending less regular applicants and some of the rest becoming alternate. With this, I think, there would not be another cut.Shenoo, did your embassy send to MEXT the usual number of recommended candidates as in previous years?
The thing is, MEXT usually doesn't decide who'll be a regular and who'll be a substitute candidate at the second screening. This is decided by the embassies, before they sent the documents to MEXT. So, if the embassy in Egypt was informed about the cuts, they should have told you back then.
I don't want to think that MEXT asked the embassies to recommend less candidates and then did YET another cut of the regular candidates. >_<

What does it mean "cancellations" ? and etc? and why until June 2011?
