That's possible, since we in Japan are having a long weekend. But, what hours do you have in mind?
Can't promise but will post here if I should have the time to open a chatroom.

I might be able to open the room Sunday 10:00am Japan time but I can't promise anything. As epigene said, we have a long weekend here so I have no classes.

Sorry couldn't make it! Had logged in but didn't have enough time for opening a chatroom. I had to go afk for a number of times, which an admin can't do!
Why don't you open a chatroom yourself? I'll drop in if I have the time.
IRC channel is for text-chat, isn't it? I like using the mic (for music mostly) so I'm sticking to Paltalk.
Eh thats why I don't want to use paltalk; Im not really into talking (particularly if I'm working on the side) and I don't like registering for such a service like what they are offering. I guess its going to be me and llendargo chatting amongst ourselves for awhile.

I definitely understand what you mean. I am not a chatter and don't like to be on the mic. It's the music otaku in me that draws me to Paltalk.
As for the JREF Chatroom, one of the important purposes there is to hear Japanese spoken and giving language advice via the mic is more effective than in text-chat alone.

PS I just came up with an idea! Since Monday is a holiday here in Japan, I think I can open the JREF Chatroom tonight (that's Sunday morning on the other side of the planet). Starting at 10pm JST sounds good to me. Anyone care to join?

So I tentatively plan on opening the chat room up this Sunday morning in Japan/Saturday evening in America/early early Sunday morning for our friends in Europe. I plan on opening it around 10:00am JST which translates to 8:00pm EST and 1:00am GMT so if you want to join feel free! It will be called JREFChat2 and I'll probably put it under Misc. -> Other.
