Hi everyone, I'm from Perú and There's somethig I don't understad about japanese last names. What happens when there's a marriage between 2 japanese. who takes the last name of the other? the wife takes thes husband's last name or the husband takes the wife´s last name. The same for the kids, they take mom's or dad's last name as the first and main last name? :?

It is possible either way, but commonly woman use man's name and the whole family share the same family name.

If Hanako Yamada (female) marries to Taro Hashimoto (male), usually Hanako's name is changed to Hanako Hashimoto.
Name of their son (Ken) and daughter (Junko) are Ken Hashimoto and Junko Hashimoto.

It's pretty much the same as everywhere.
But I've heard something about a child having it's father's last name as a name or something. Don't know if it's true or is it one of their customs, that is not "in use" anymore. xD

Only if you are born into the Adam's family would this ever be true...

The wife takes a surname of the husband and its children too take a surname of the husband. As it can both leave the surname and not change, at children to give the surname. Only then it will be considered a matter as the single.
