Hi,
1. くわしくせつめいして来てほしいんだ。
This is said to someone who is being asked to go (not come) to a business meeting. I have translated it as "You'll be required to explain things in detail", but I don't understand what meaning 来て is adding.
2. 原田さんは奥さんに高いコートを買われた。
The translation given is "Mr Harada's wife bought an expensive coat (and he is unhappy)." Could this also mean "Mr Harada was bought an expensive coat by his wife" (i.e. she bought it for him and gave it to him)? If not, why not, and how would you write the latter?
3. あんなに、スピードを出すんじゃなかった。 This is translated as "I shouldn't have gone so fast". Why doesn't it mean "I didn't go so fast"? Where does the "shouldn't have" sense come from?
