I Saw The Sign!!

I was in Ueno, Tokyo yesterday and took this photo. It is the entrance to a DVD/Internet Cafe ( I suppose it is not really a "cafe"...). From what I can see, it sounds more like a hotel...

This is not really a sign but a poster, by Tokyo Metro.
This is my favourite, especially the man with glasses who appears all the posters (Please do it at home series they started from April 2008) and is always suffering silently - I always find him humorous.

"Manner Posters" by Toyko Metro.

That guy in the background is quite humorous. What exactly is it that they have to do at home. Im guessing its eating or could it be something related to the love heart shaped food like kissing.

EDIT

I just realised they were courtesy seats by the picture of a poster in the background

ha there all quite funny especially the guy playing baseball with the rain.

Does that first one you posted say

Rascal do it at your own house

at the top

ive not been learning very long so may have got it completely wrong.

That guy on the poster should have his own cartoon on tv. Little 5 minute skits teaching people not to be inconsiderate.

I saw this one near the entrance at a supermarket last night.

I was driving to the DMV in the city of Maebashi in Gunma prefecture early this afternoon. I had about half an hour for lunch so I stopped at this Tonkatsu restaurant on Route 50.

I always have a hard time picking items off menus and today was no exception. After a few minutes of trying to decide between a Donburi and a Teishoku, I went with the Kara-age Teishoku. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the miso soup that came with it (all you can eat Soup & Rice!) was so tasty I had a second.

I went to my annual sakura-gari (cherry blossom hunt).

Yesterday, at my favorite botanical garden, this is what I tasted:

There was quite a long queue for it. The ice cream had the fragrance of "sakura-mochi," i.e., not the cherry blossoms but the fragrant leaves. The taste was very light and delicious!! 👍

Oooohhhhh~ Sakura Mochi flavoured soft serve??? Me likes!!!

Here's a "Lost Dog" flyer I saw today.

A sad sign of the times:

"No sleeping or cooking in the park"

It says 「法定速度厳守車」. I hate to be stuck behind these cars...

Sometimes, You Wanna Go....

I have been intrigued by this sign that is on a roadside near my office... but wouldn't this scare customers away?

I will be posting Japanese "signs" I encounter in my daily life here in Japan. Please feel free to post your own.
First off, here's a couple of signs seen on the fence of a park near my office.
May I partisiapate even though I'm in Michigan?

I got a lot of those symbols every where in the malls, stores, and what not.

Hello & welcome to JREF!

Well, this being "Learning Japanese" section, the signs should be in Japanese. I don't know... Do they have signs in Japanese in Michigan? :p

As you can see, this thread is not that popular, and I would love as many ppl as possible to participate.... So, how about you just go ahead and post whatever and each time you do, you get a "Can't you see this is in the Learning JAPANESE section!?" from me? :)

Thank you for the welcome ASHIKAGA, And I do understand the rules of this game and we do have a lot of japaense / asain signs in michigan, however they are not street signs but more of a dumauss ( library signs ) and food signs...

I can't spell the Japanese word yet for the libary or books, I've just learned it yesterday while I was using my rosetta stone software, I apologize if I spelled it wrong or offended any one, I'm not here for that, I'm here to make pen pals & Iphone pals when I have fully learned the lanagege.

Naw~ most of the people on here are pretty laid back and not easily offended, so don't worry.

I am looking forward to seeing those signs!
