Is it necessary for infractions or warnings to stay forever?

I have an infraction that was given to me way back in May of 2007 that still shows up in my settings,.

Is there any way to have it removed.

Oh it has expired.......at least that what it says anyway

It has expired. Infractions only have a set time, limit, differing for each infraction. Yours has most definitly expired. Having a look yours was also only a warning. No infraction points were given.

Is there any reason that since the warning has expired for it to still show up in my settings?

I am curious how many you need to get banned or suspended though... couldn't find that anywhere.

Most likely if they are kept on display it is for some sort of record keeping purposes to add up when you die and are judged at the gates of Hades. I say consider it like a scouting badge.

Have you gotten your's for the incorrect country flag being displayed yet? Not to brag but...

Kirin Man, only admins have the power to remove infractions or warnings, even the expired ones. I suggest PMing Dutch Baka about it. Personally I support your request to have it removed, just for the record.

I don't know why they don't disappear upon expiring. I always thought was kind of bad, but I can't change anything about it. I would imagine that if there is a box to click to make them automatically disappear when they expire, only admins would have access to it.

I talked to Admin JP about it, and it's not possible to remove them, other than manually. Maybe in a newer version of Vbulletin it would be possible...
