Why can't I paste?

I am afraid I don't really understand what you mean. You can't paste just within this forum or in general? Please explain.

As the test dummy post above shows that it isn't a general member problem.
Could it be a problem with your software? Usually when I copy and paste I use Ctrl C and Ctrl V rather than the mouse and the icons, I find it faster. Try this way, unless you already do.

I think it has somthing to do with the browser and the setting (HTML features are active for posting messages, perhaps?).
At home I'm using Firefox and have no problem for pasting.
At work the browser is IE and I cannot past text by clicking right button of the mouse - there's no option for "paste"!
So I usually use the "Edit" menu of the browser (the task bar at the top) to paste what I copied.
This "problem" started while ago - could be since the board was upgrated.

I belive this is what OP is experiencing.

I belive this is what OP is experiencing.

I have the fairly frequent problem of not even being able to Copy using the task bar, mouse (option is greyed out) or Ctrl C key stroke command. When I close out and re-enter the forum it is fine again. Whether it has anything to do with Firefox I'm not sure -- that's what I use at home and the only browser I've experimented with these functions.

Yup!

That worked - but only when I went up to the task bar. How strange ...

I used to be able to do it by "right-clicking"......

My browser settings must have mysteriously changed ... I am beginning to suspect an update on my firewall.
