Lost in Tokyo (ﾆ遅ﾆ停?ｹﾆ樽ﾂー)

Every Monday from 8.35pm till 9.55pm on the Belgian Channel 2be is a new program "Lost in Tokyo" that was inspired on the movie Lost in Translation and the original RTL5 program "Lost in Tokyo".

Again are random people (from Belgium) been challenged for the challenge of their live, the program is again about winning 4 000 000 Japanese Yen.
They have to overcome their fear and they have to do many of unusual things for example: Choking theirselves in a plastic bag, filling a fish alive, finding monuments etc....

It's again typically made by Western people who don't have understanding towards the Japanese Society, for example in the first episode the challengers come to a dirty hotel and the commentator said: Een traditionele Hotel in Japan (a traditional hotel in Japan) it was dirty, it had many hair of previous people and it wasn't very proper etc...

It makes me sick seeing this because of all the comments they gave.
I'm glad I saw Tokyo again on the background and the funny moments with

I also saw the first episode and I expected it to be like you said Shin. But you can't blame the program makers for doing so; after all it's an entertainment program on 2BE (former Kanaal 2, the kind of people that also watch to VTM if you know what I mean ).

The sashimi-preparing scene was also rather missplaced (the participants had to prepare sashimi on a special way - cut the skin of the fish while it's still alive). Actually GAIA (animal rights organisation in Belgium) already complained about it. It's just one of the things in Japan that I also don't feel confortable with, so I was kinda dissapointed that they showed it.

Hehe Indeed you are right, but yeah what can we do? Nothing, It just another program that put Japan in the spots and nothing more.

Off topic: Good to see you that you're in Tokyo , i'm leaving tomorrow to go (in my Easterholiday) to Yokohama!

It's showing all the extreme things and they admit that. It's funny how everyone is
reacting in their own way. When the girl answered on the question: "what do you think
when you hear the name Tokyo?" "poverty" it cracked me up. It tells a lot about the
intelligence of some of the participants.

Haha indeed or the girl that had to find the eye monument, she was passing it many times without regarding that she was in front of it, she even said some dutch words together with her japanese,english words.

Well the show is allmost over ,for the people who lives in Belgium or seeing the show, the finale is with Hasan & Aurelie & Caroline.

I really wish Hasan doesn't win (>__<) and that Aurelie wonned the game.

She was a lot smarter then she appeared to be.

I inspired from Toko Drift. Its very good movie. Its another series of Fast and the furious. Anyone of you like that movie ? I seen the tokyo 1st time in that movie. Special places etc.
