The 1991 & 1992 Extasy Summit official releases are easy to find in p2p programs. And there are also some bootlegs of another Extasy Summit gigs from 1991 but those are a little bit harder to find... well, not really :-)

I actually prefer the 1991.10.17/18/19 performances, they were amazing shows, in 17 they performed with several artist (including the L.O.X. project) in 18 they played "relaxing" songs and the 19 was all X show with covers as Ace of Spades.

Oo I've not seen the 91 version. I know a lot of 92 is on youtube, is any of 91 there? I very much want to see their cover of Ace of Spades!
It's not the same watchin things online as having the DVDs... it will do untill I get money... but tis not good.

Ace of Spades ftw! Well.. I did get to see Motörhead live, so mabe if there's a reunion I'll get to see X aswell^^
 
guys, i'm not sure if you already know this ... yoshiki's new band is called SKIN ... as we all know, SKIN members are yoshiki, gackt and sugizo and the 4th member who was introduced during the Jrock Revolution concert is none other than MIYAVI and they will perform at the anime convention in california on june 29 ... however, no announcement was made about the group's instrumental line up
 
^yup there are a couple threads for that ^_^ no need to discuss it here, though. thanks for making sure though...

Jrev... made me sick of The Last Live. they played it in between every band... at first everyone cheered whenever hide came on screen, but that stopped fairly quickly...

there were a couple of heart-warming moments for X fans though... the first night everyone started chanting "X" and doing the arm motions... the second night i girl right next to me all of a sudden just screamed "who are we?!" and everyone screamed "X!!!" ... i hope yoshiki heard and it made him happy. in his blog he seems to have taken everything reguarding X really hard... of course, any human being would...

but! no more babbling... since it's my first post on this thread, i'll say that my favorite X song is Drain.
 
I don't know much about that reunion but I think Yoshiki is kinda busy with that SKIN project right now, it would be great though if they reunited but hey I think every project Yoshiki gets his hands on is great , no I'm not a fangirl I just think he is a great musician.
 
Offcource Yoshiki is a great musician^^ He is the only one I know of modern artists that have been put on the same line as Mozart and Beethoven! And I can very well agree with that! Yoshiki is such great composer^^

Today Japanese newspaper Sponichi broke the news that after nearly ten years since X Japan's New Year's break-up concert and nine years since the death of influential lead guitarist hide, X Japan will officially be reforming with a new tour and single scheduled to come within the year.

The article states that founder Yoshiki summoned former vocalist Toshi to Los Angeles to work on a hide-tribute track titled "Without You" (originally released instrumentally on Yoshiki's first album) during November 2006. After an emotional recording session the two felt that "the puzzle pieces just fit," and decided to officially reunite the band.

Yoshiki is said to be in talks with guitarist Pata and bassist Heath regarding the reunion, with hopes to feature the band lineup circa the band's final performance. While nothing has been set in stone, the tentative touring lineup is Yoshiki, Toshi, Pata, Heath, and roughly 10 guest guitarists who will perform hide's parts during various songs in the set.

Current information indicates that X Japan's tour will begin near Yoshiki's home of Los Angeles, with the Toshi-sung single release of "Without You" due sometime this year.

Regarding the reunion, Yoshiki stated the following: "After hide's death most fans were split between two extreme opinions, either 'you reunite and I'll kill you' or 'if you don't reunite I'll die.' I had trouble making the decision and for a while I wasn't able to move forward. This reunion is actually a first for me as well."
 
10 guests to perform hides part. Wow. That's actually a really good idea... it would erase all thoughts that he was being replaced if they had loads of different people to play his part.

An X show 10 years after hide died... I don't know about any one else but I wont be able to see it [or probably footage thereof as I doubt I'll be able to see it live] without crying. :( I just hope the members can deal with it.
 
And ofcourse you basically have to live in L.A to get a piece of Yoshiki's performances :P
 
they should come to the east coast of the USA, always in the west coast... >_>

anywho... I would do anything to see that reunion...
 
@DemonHunter: You think they'd actually release a DVD? OMFG! If they do, I totally want to get it... because I love them so much. IF I cant go the reunion thingy... which I know I wont be able to... then the DVD is BETTER than nothing... lol
 
They should come to England damnit! Yoshiki has already established that some parts of Europe are lacking J-rock... I think England definately qualifies for that!! Sympathy for English fans!!
