Another part of his arm tatoos. I had also the back, but somebody already posted it^^
For the tatoo on his back, Mia, it a "sutra". Some boudist teaching of the boudha. And Miyavi said that he what to go to illumination in this life. ^^

I have just read it and to my understanding it means that once you have obtained your enlightenment, you simply just exist.This enlightenment is also known as a state of Nirvana. This is the ultimate state to be in. You have over come suffering, there are no boundries QUOTE:In voidness there is no form,
and no sensation, perception, volition or consciousness;
no eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind;
no sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, thought
To obtain a state of Nirvana buddhists use mediation, chants, they study the scriptures that teach you to have compassion for everything around you. Buddhists generally live by the 4 noble truths.
If anybody has anything else to add or correct something that I have written, please feel free

From what I could grasp, the Heart Sutra is basically explaining the state of perfect enlightment or Nirvana. I'm no Buddhist, so I don't know if what I'm getting is anywhere right... but it's saying that you must achieve complete emptiness to attain Nirvana. Emptiness is in every form, whether it be in the senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing), perception, or consciousness. It is also complete with a mantra, a mantra of great knowledge (I assume to help you attain said Nirvana) "gate gate paragate parasamgate bodhi svaha" which translates to "Gone, gone, gone beyond, gone altogether beyond, O what an awakening, all-hail!"
Interesting fact about the mantra as quoted from Wikipedia:
"Although the translation is acceptable, the case ending in Sanskrit mantra is the feminine vocative, so gate is addressed to a feminine person/figure. A more accurate translation is "Oh she who is gone!" In this respect, the mantra appears to be keeping with the common tantric practice of anthropromorphizing the Perfection of Wisdom as the "Mother of Buddhas.""
I don't quite understand how this is a "heart" sutra. I could only think it's because people refer to "Nirvana" as an "ultimate happiness"... I have to disagree with that though from what I've read.
If you must become empty, does that not mean you are also clear of happiness? In ways, becoming empty... you don't exist at all. You become void. To be empty is to be nothing. You might overcome suffering and pain, but you also rid yourself of passion, joy, and love.
Bah, I dunno. I don't mean to state some religious debate, I'm just wondering if I'm not actually understanding what is being said.
Moving on, I've been so busy lately I haven't been able to put up a new lyric to analyze. I think it's been two weeks since we did KIMINEGA and Itoshii Hito.
So this week's analyzation can be about Girls, be ambitious.

So, for Girls be ambitious, (one of my favourite) for once, the lyrics and the PV are not far from each others.
It's like he want to help somebody in pain. He offer his hands if it's ok, and say that it will hurt more to go out of this pain than to go in.
He say that he'll protect but "she" have to hurry, if she stay like that without knowing what she'll do, she couldn't kiss him. And he say to be ambitious, to have the courage to do things, the courage to wake up and go.
At the end, she seem to be too late, so he just give her a charme.
I think that he want us to be more happy, to have the courage to live and not to lay down with pain. And if we not go, if we not want to move, he couldn't help.
I really love this song, and i'm sure that if I'm this girls, I'll not take this time to move, I'll just hear him and run, run to him, XD....

Thanks for the translation! Reading that entry made me remember again why I love him and his music so much.
Happy to hear that the package is ready to send! The things that I wrote in my letter to him might be a little old but it's okay. I wrote about things that happened in autumn, album realases and everything. But the main thing is that Meevers gets the package and feels loved!

Yea, I kinda noticed that... He seems to love hiding meanings in what he writes. And in his videos! <3 We all know they must have a deeper meaning, but just don't know how to interpret it...

It's my first post here... although I used to read the replies a lot.
I just wanted to get some informations about miyavi, because I haven't read what had been going on for months... And I don't have the courage to read the 159 pages I missed

I don't know for if he's comming in europe or not.... I just know he came in Paris when he did the photobook. But it was a long ago. I hope he'll come again soon ^^
For the band, it's yes, he will go in a new band he talked about it in his journal entries. But he don't tell the name of the band. He worked whith them in Los Angeles for many months in 2006, and he said that he'll go soon again.
For a new album, I don't know when he'll do it, but he talked about the fact that he's writting a lot for new songs. I hope it is for himself and not for the new band. We want so badly a new album!!!!

I hope that there wasnt a concert in europe because that means i missed it too :S but ok welcome you see that im pretty new here too but i know this site for a long time and im at page 180 of the 367 but its pretty fun too see new pictures and stuff i saw a cute poster of miyavi on ebay but i dont know if my parents will be happy if i put a big poster of miyavi on my door xD my mom thought his name was miyazie -.- but wathever we know better ... if i had a big miyavi poster i will kiss it 1000 times ^^ im sure about that
