Hi everyone,

I recently had an interview with a company called Sunterritory Co., Ltd. (株式会社サンテリトリー).
Their official website — https://www.sunterritory.jp/ — claims things like:

"20+ years of experience," "200+ games launched," "2M+ daily active users," and "500M+ downloads."

However, I couldn't find any actual released games, product names, or client references under their company name on major platforms (App Store, Google Play, Steam, PR Times, etc.).

According to their site and Japanese listings, the registered address is:
📍 VORT Nishi-Shinjuku NEX 9F, 7-7-29 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo

I'm trying to figure out:

  • Is this company operating from a real office floor, or is it just a shared / virtual / rented space?
  • Have they actually released any online or mobile games (for example, slot-type or casual games)?
  • Does anyone know of past clients, employees, or verifiable projects from this company?
  • Any idea how big the office or the team actually is?

I'm not accusing anyone of anything — just trying to verify whether it's a legitimate company with real game products before proceeding further.

Any insights, links, or firsthand experience would be very appreciated. 🙏
Thank you!

Hi Rowan, welcome to the forum!
  • VORT Nishi-Shinjuku is a rental office space.
  • According to their website, the company was launched in August 2023.
  • Their domain was registered in September 2023.
  • The company lists their corporate number (1011101104142) on the website.
  • Not much info on the representative's Linkedin page (a certain Peiyang Chen; no other staff mentioned).
If you search for their games on Google Images, all results are in Chinese. Perhaps they have released them on the Chinese market.

Didn't you ask them for more details during your interview?

Thanks for the info. I don't have any more details at the moment. I'm Chinese and will be working for this company as a remote developer. As far as I know, they won't provide social insurance in China, and they haven't mentioned whether there will be any social insurance in Japan—most likely there won't be any.

Since there is no social insurance or other protection, I'm concerned about the safety of working with them and want to understand more before making a decision.

I also received an offer from this company. I wanted to ask if you have already joined the company, and if it is reliable/reputable?

Since this company may not be reputable, DO NOT pay them directly for any training, visas, or trips to Japan

Does the LinkedIn webpage list any employees?

罗兄你好,我人在日本,最近也收到Offer,也想了解一下这个公司,因为感觉官网宣传的和听起来不是太靠谱,犹豫要不要入职

Sorry, This is my first time using this forum, so I'm not very familiar with the rules. I'm in the same situation as the original poster and have also received an offer. Since I'm currently in Japan, I can visit the company in person, but I'm worried about my visa. If anything happens with the company, it might affect my visa status. So I'd like to investigate as much as possible.

Hopefully , you might be able to give us more info when you meet with the company , if you do.

There's a high chance I will go to the company for a second on-site interview. If I discover anything, I'll share it in the group right away. My main doubts are the same as everyone else's — although the company is legally registered, I couldn't find any of the games they claim to have published on their website on any platform. So if I visit the office, I will make sure to talk with them carefully about this issue.
