Cannot read this kind of calligraphy writing

I wanted first post a new thread, but might as well post it here. I just cannot read this kind of calligraphy writing.
The third kanji seems to be 義(gi) but that is all I can say about it :/
Oh, and the figurine is a Naginata wielding monk of some sorts, but it does not depict Uesugi Kenshin .

But reading such kind of texts is like deciphering hieroglyphics.
