Those verdant mountain roads are what I live for, and there's a blue line in shikoku now? fancy!

By the end of my trip, I was getting a serious sore throat from all the car and truck exhaust. Even though they're proud of their emissions standards, every time a truck passed me their fumes hit me like a pack of cigarettes.

If you can make it up the hill towards Umpenji, there's a cable car (here) that can take you the rest of the way to the top of the mountain, and get some great views. The temple grounds are quite impressive, and the path leading up to the temple is lined with hundreds of unique carved statues, very much recommended!

I'm afraid I only had udon at a little shop in Toyohama, I think it was 田舎うどん 源
I think the udon will get even better if you move further north and east, I wish I could just do a food tour

Thank you very much. But now I can't get internet, the city here gives you 30 minutes free up to eight times in one day that's what I'm using now but somehow I just lost internet overnight I can't figure out how to get the internet service without the city here providing it.

The nearest ymobile is 10 km away.

free wifi map
There aren't many free wifi spots in Shikoku, so check the map.

Glad you got past all that rain! Sounds like you're having a great trip. Your pictures truly make me miss Japan. There's just something about it that feels like home.

It turned out today that I got a little help I was in the convenience store asking about Wi-Fi doesn't work on my phone and there's this lady there and she gave me a lift actually to why mobile and it was really very kind of her and she wouldn't accept no money or she wouldn't even allow me to buy her lunch and she went down three different places trying to get the the right location for what my mobile but anyway I was able to eventually figured it out while we were at my mobile I am was just messing around something something to do with reset and I push the reset button and next thing I knew I was able to log on the internet.
So my travel time today actually I'll post it tomorrow morning I didn't a lot of kilometers today.
I'm at McDonald's right now at 10:30 at night charging my batteries and then I'll look for a place to stay tonight.
I did get a chance to eat the noodles here's some pictures.
And it was so good I mean I never I've only eaten noodles maybe two times since I've lived in Japan so this was really a special treat and I heard that this area is famous for his good noodles and I it was a 8 km round trip from the campground and anyway I got there but it's really nice cuz you can pick out your toppings.

I think this hill I had to well I had to walk my bike it was a good time I'm just going to say a good hour walk it was one heck of a walk.
But but going down on the other side of the mountain it was like I was clocking like 34 km an hour.

Okay I'll post some more pictures.

Okay I'm leaving the area I packed by 10th and everything and I'm going toward Temple 68 and 69 there's a shrine that I stopped off yesterday at and if it rained terribly but anyway I stopped off at another one place and giving it a one to five I'd have to give it a one I was greatly disappointed in it I got to meet and I got the topping of shrimp the shrimp was really good but the soup base I don't know it was tasteless and the meat was it was I don't know it kind of melted away really the noodles were I guess standard but I didn't I wouldn't recommend going there to anybody here on the forum and that's about it really wasn't that good.

Nice work! if you're staying in the area, check out Ritsurin garden

That udon looks amazing!
That first round and I tried was kick man 100% kick the second rum and I tried the breaded shrimp was good but the the broth and the I guess the loser pretty common but I I didn't I left this satisfied actually and I am going towards tokushima .tokushima
I got 65 km to go to get to tokushima. I left this morning at 5:00 in the morning I slept on a bench all night it was pretty cool didn't get much sleep cuz right next to the main Street a lot of noise but anyway that's life.
Okay I'll see what happens about the link that you gave me I should have time today to see something mostly I just been jamming on the bike that's about it again thanks for following me man I really appreciate it.

Here seems to be usable free.
日峯大神子公園 キャンプ場 (Himine Omiko Park Campsite)

田井ノ浜海水浴場 (Tainohama Beach)
You can camp at a beach, but be careful from today as weather is bad.

Recommendation spot of Tokushima
Otsuka Museum of Art
  • "Otsuka Museum of Art" is Sue board masterpiece Museum having the permanent construction exhibit space of 29,412 square meters of deferred floor space of the biggest in Japan grade established in Naruto-shi, Tokushima. I reproduce the Western masterpiece of the more than 1,000 point to size identical to an original work by a technique of Otsuka オーミ Sue work from an ancient fresco to a modern painting in the hall.

Thanks 🙏. Around 2:00 p.m. today the the weather will turn bad. I got 62 km to go to Tokushima.
I hope to be able to find a campground and pitch tent before it starts to rain.
As always thanks for the help.

Good morning pictures Friday I guess it is July 7th I hope that's right.

This is one of many attendant cafeterias cafes along with highway 11.
I was so surprised to see all these empty restaurants I kind of think the 7-Eleven and Lawson's killed these restaurants.

IMG_20230707_070745.jpg

It took me about 30 minutes to walk up this hill but going down the hill I was cruising I was really really cruising it was quite a distance to going downhill but going uphill I don't know how many feet I don't know it was a long time that's for sure luckily this morning time and still cool in the morning did have to stop for a water break.

IMG_20230707_070749.jpg

I kind of think this was another udon shop. Apparently before the convenience stores moved in these little shops along the highway 11 were quite popular but even the real big ones I didn't take all the pictures of them that were closed but they just shut down.

IMG_20230707_070043.jpg

This is your Japanese style hotel California.

Going slow but I'm getting there no rush I still probably got nine more days 10 more days actually maybe. I just really haven't had much time to sexy due to the weather changing pretty fast. Oh and I was surprised that one of the temples I forgot which number was but they had a gated lock I guess they don't want the homeless not homeless but the pilgrimage people
IMG_20230707_062545.jpg

Camping at the temples so they got them all gated up it's really surprised.

Well if it doesn't well it's going to rain but just stay here a couple days maybe and well I like art so I'll just want to go it's probably about a thousand yen to get him but it's okay I'm glad that you posted about the heart Museum that's pretty much more interest of me than actually seen Temple after Temple.
