ZATOICHI coming to the big screen...

Hot off the presses! As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Sept. 9th, 2003 regarding Zatoichi:

"Harvey Weinstein liked the film so much he bought it. After screening last weekend at the Toronto International Film Festival, Takeshi Kitano's Zatoichi has been acquired by Miramax Films for North American distribution. The Japanese cult film is about a blind master swordsman who faces off against a ruthless samurai for control of a small town."

Here's hoping it gets the treatment it deserves...

Sounds similer.

Kinda like the American movie "Daredevil" , the blind lawer who fights evil. Sounds good, I'll watch for it at Hollywood Video.
