Hello, I am looking for info regarding the Yoshimi family. A friend of mine here in NZ had a grandmother who was Japanese with the family name of 'Yoshimi'. She seemed to believe it was a Samurai family
In researching, I know this much,
Hagi (窶昶?ケナスs, Hagi-shi?) is a city located in Yamaguchi, Japan and was incorporated as a city on July 1, 1932. Formerly part of Abu District. On March 6, 2005, the former city of Hagi merged with Asahi, Fukue, Kawakami, Mutsumi, Susa and Tamagawa to form the new city of Hagi. This city was formerly known as a castle town as well.
In the medieval period, Hagi was dominated by the Yoshimi clan, who built a branch castle in Hagi. ...
Attached is a pic of where Yoshimis now reside in Japan...
Any historical info would be appreciated
