I'm a high school student from California. I'm studying nihongo. I'm interested in Japanese culture, I find it fascinating. I'm a mere beginner at nihongo. My kanji knowledge consists of the numbers up to 10, ?, ?, ?, and ?. I have virtually no working vocabulary. I'm terrible at listening - from a normal sentence I can understand one or perhaps two words. I flatter myself that my pronunciation is all right - I have no problems with ? or the combinations (?? etc).
I may get the chance to go to Japan for a few days next year. My father is currently President of the Rotary club here in town; in May '04 there is a big Rotary convention in Osaka, which he might attend, and might bring me along
Outside of Japan-related stuff, my life is pretty boring. I'm a computer geek. I sit inside all day at my computer. I'm either playing games, programming, listlessly browsing the internet, or drilling kanji.
So that's me in a a nutshell. Yay me.
