Hi, I'm working on my (hand)written japanese, and I've found that the character き, which on my virtual keyboard has a closed curve, when copying the strokes from this webpage (which seems to me quite good and useful), I find that it has an open curve. So... which one is the right one?

You've never noticed differences between English alphabet fonts and handwritten English? Which is the "right" one?

Both are valid. You'll see such open/closed variations with other characters (さ, り...) as well. How to write hiragana ki and sa - Different writing style for the hiragana ki and sa
