Wow - Something Great Happened To Me Today !!!!

My mum was just interviewed on TV as a 'local historian' about a mining disaster that happened in our village and killed two of my grandad's uncles. My mum wrote a book about it a few years ago. She was so nervous about it, but she did really well!

Well, this one's for ex-military folks. On Wednesday I received my official Certificate of Retirement from the U.S. Armed Forces. After being honorably discharged from the Navy in 1996 after 20 years of faithful service, I was transfered to the Naval Reserve for ten years, and that time came to an end on September 1st according to the certificate. So now I'm really a full-fledged civilian! YAY! Joining the Navy was one of the best decisions I ever made, after all, I got to be stationed in Japan during my days as a sailor, and that certainly was a benefit of my time in the military!

Nothing has really happened to me yet today... but... well... life is good at the moment.

I did a delivery today to a graphic novelist and he gave me one of his limited edition books that I dropped off (Only 500 printed)

Well, I got accepted in the Honours Programme 2007 of our university. Which basically means that I am one of the 25 most promising students of the entire university.

It starts next year and it involves one evening per week of extra-curricular studying.. I'm really looking forward to it!!

But for now, I have to concentrate on studying for the coming exams..
 
I went out last night to the mall to hang out with some friends. The entire gang was there and it was so fun. We went to the arcade, hung out at dairy queen, then went over to Jazzy's house. I met the hottest guy who crushes me. Something good might happen, but I have no clue how to french kiss and all that jazz.

i went to school...not much happend. i got a 106% on my test that i didnt study for sorry to brag but i wasnt always an A student. i falied at most everything last year...
 
From the "Virtue of Good Timing Department", around 9 this morning, as is my regular Sunday custom, I walk to a nearby diner two blocks from the house for breakfast, a little trek which requires crossing an often busy three lane street called Walnut. Well, not more than five minutes after crossing said street, there was an accident there. Seems a car hit an icy patch of street halfway down the block and, according to eyewitnesses, crossed from one side of the wide street to the other, up onto the sidewalk and smacked into the side of a pizzeria on the corner----the very corner I had just crossed! if I'd been five minutes late to that corner----WHAMMO!! Talk about good timing, eh?

 
Someone added vocals to my music piece!

I'm really frustrated at the moment from not having a good enough soundcard to record vocals... but I sent my piece to someone anyway and he put his own vocals on it and... it sounds really good... ☝
 
I passed all my courses and got good grades for this semester, this has to be best semester I've had. It makes me cry.

But I'm happy.
