I took the JLPT today. I took level 4. I just took a look at the grading rubric and I can't believe how easy the requirements are! For each section, you have to get 19/60 points and overall, only like 95! I was a little bit worried when I finished... but this gives me lots more confidence. I teach myself, so my listening has not developed as well as traditional students.
Ah, I was going to take the N3, but then I had to move away from D.C., sadly I could not get my registration date changed. Oh well, always next year.
I'd like to know what people thought of N3, and N4 if anyone took those. I'm especially interested to hear what people thought of N3 as it's kind of the oddball section (between old N2 and N3).
Good luck to all those who took it and end up passing.
I am going to try and take the N5 or N4 exam within a year. I could take it in July but I'm not sure I'll be ready for it. I would love to hear the details though!
