Where to go for surfing& climbing?

Hello,
I'm planning a trip to Japan and ideally I would like to stay at a place where I you can reach surfing and climbing spots in a reasonable amount of time (~1 hour). I googled a bit, but I could not find any information, at least not in English :/

Does anyone happen to know in what area that might be possible?
