Sometimes you just need a break from JREF .

I once took a month off. After over 10 years on a site , sometimes it can wear on you. Seeing the same questions over and over and having other members get on your nerves in posts can eventually grind you down. Hopefully , he will return home to us one day in the future.

yeah I havent been on the forum a lot either these past few months. Sometimes its good to take a break, but it feels nice to be back again.

While not everyone was happy with his sometimes acerbic style of posting that perplexed in particular newcomers to the forum, I too hope that Mike will find his way back to the site. I am quite certain he's enjoying this thread.

Our team and veteran members - all of them volunteers - are the backbone and the soul of the forum, however, no one is compelled to answer. Replying to posts should never turn into a mere chore or become a routine. I made it a rule not to reply to threads that spark my fury. Boring? Perhaps. Better for my mental health? Definitely.
