Hi everyone!

I'm going to Japan for a holiday this year and I just booked the flights!
I'm going to be in there for the whole july 2006.

I found some really really really cheap flights to Nagoya, so me and my friend will be flying there instead of Tokyo.
We're planning to go to at least Kyoto and Tokyo, maybe to Hiroshima too, but we really have no idea what there is in Nagoya.

So if someone has experiences, I'd love to hear them! For example what places we should go to see, where to shop, where to stay for the night etc.

We have a very tight budget, so any tips to save money are appreciated! XD
We plan to use night busses to get around in Japan, because they are so cheap and Japan rail Pass would be way too expensive for that long time.

Any other tips for 2 low budget girl travellers will be appreciated!

Thank you!

As Japan is relitivly small, you could travel to Tokyo (or wherever you want) and stay there, it wouldn't take long to get there.

Thank you for the info!

We have decided to go to Kyoto for a week/5 days right after we arrive to Nagoya, then go to Hiroshima for few days and then to Tokyo for the rest of the time.

Does anyone have any experience of night busses?
How safe are they, are they good to sleep etc.

Thanks again!

Quisty, I suppose that you have seen the Nagoya page on this site, but just in case...

Small ? The length of Japan is 3000km (without Okinawa ), i.e. the same as from England to Turkey ! And trains (esp. shinkansen) aren't cheap (at least twice more expensive than in Europe).
