i started learning this summer and have been going pretty steadily with it since then. But now im in high school and my schedule has become chaotic. so i set aside about an hour a day to study this. but since school has started ive been haveing trouble focusing on one area to start from and continue in an ordered way.

Basically ive gotten a whole bunch of textbooks online and some audio and skip around on all of them so that i have no structure to my learning at all.

as an example of what i mean:
I currently know most of the basic hiragana and need to finish all the extra ones and know no kanji whatsoever. My numbers i learned at kendo and vocab mainly from pimsluer and a dictionary i got offline that i read through every once and a while.

so my question is what kind of regimen that is structured do ya'll suggest? preferably with a textbook or grammar book easily obtained or stuff i can get of wikipedia(im a high school student so money is really tight).

so any ideas or help would be appreciated
also what are the jlpt tests that i hear about from time to time on this forum?

make an inventory of what materials you have, it'll help you organize your study time. You should get hiragana and katakana down before you dig too deeply into kanji, but feel free to tackle numbers if you want a break from kana. Practice grammar and vocabulary by creating sentences using them, then practice reading aloud. you can try focusing on one skill per hour session, but I would recomment just breaking it down into 15-20 minute sections to keep things movie and interesting.
