I met asimo last year. Pretty amazing for a robot, but it only has a half-hour battery and all it can really do is balance, walk up and down short stairs, and kick a ball. Also, it's brain is mostly in an external unit that it has to communicate with wirelessly. We've come a long way in robotics, but we have a long way to go before they're actually useful for anything other than marvelling out our own intelligence.

Lately my favorite gadget is probably my usb memory drive and bottle-opener keychain. Comes in handy on a daily basis. Least favorite gadget would be my cell phone. My digital camera is in for repairs (permanently it seems), so I'll be getting one of these before long, and that'll probably rank #1.

As an aside, quite an old thread, but an interesting topic.

I would say my favourite gadget is my PSP!!!!!
I can do almost anything with it and dont go anywhere without it!!!

I would have to say it is my XM satellite radio. I would be lost at night without it. What a great gift to truck drivers who drive long distances.

Yeah, those are great! While I was visiting a few weeks ago, my buddy loaned me a car that had one. I absolutely loved it! Wonder if it would work over here? :?

For a little humor, if I may: Recently, my favorite gadgets (in the sense of usage time) have been the shovel and wheelbarrow, the chain saw, circular saw, jig saw, impact driver, and the tape measure.

I would have to say that my favourite usefull gadget that I have got in this house is a little battery tester. Knowing if a battery is all spent out or just needs recharging for 17 hours makes life a lot easier in this household.
