What is so great about Hyde and Gackt?

I like Hyde and Gackt's looks quite a bit. They're unique. However, there was one picture of Gackt where I had to just laugh. He was dressed something like Squall from FF8, except it was a mid-riff white t-shirt and just looked corny. If I can find it, I'll post it...
 
oo...I wanna see... :D..Squall's pretty hot..and if it is corny it'll give me a reason to laugh and I need one right now...
 
Hehe, I'll get it up here as soon as possible. My friend is the one who showed it to me, so I gotta wait for her to get online so I can get it from her.
 
Oddly, I didn't like either of them when I first saw pics of them (man were they unflattering or what; all I have to say is that Hyde looked FAT in the pic I saw, and if anyone here has seen the Moonchild making vid, you'd know that that man is thinner than Gackt). Then I fell in love with Gackt's music, obsessed with his voice for a while, then realized how hot he was. ^___^

I first began to take real notice of Hyde during Moonchild. Before then, I'd see people talking about how gorgeous he was, how obsessed they were, and I'd think of the pic I saw going "what are they on?" Then I saw the movie, and believed in God.
 
Why are there so many threads on people asking "why gackt or hyde are so great", especially threads about the way Gackt looks. Honestly, does it really matter if people think that their so great it's their choice. I don't believe that people should have to justify the greatness of their favourite j-pop/j-rock artist. Plus, the only western people who know who Gackt and hyde are, are people who know the Japanese culture/listen to japanese music. Otherwise, Gackt and Hyde aren't well known in the western culture...
 
people should just accept that Gackt and Hyde are awesome...and totally hott and just move on...lol

Well...uumm...that's kinda what Japan Forum is about, I thought. For people who are in to japanese culture to share their ideas, opinions, and insight. Of course, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. 🙂

Well I kinda meant that one thread or maybe two is enough. A whole bunch of threads on the same subjects or pertaining to the same subjects get's a lil annoying.

theyre both VERY talented men and they're songs are very moving..at least i think...and their looks dont hurt either XD

my favorite hyde song...is erm...cape of storm and midnight celebration...and oasis..><

Argh, don't compare Gackt and Hyde so easily. That's two completely different worlds and styles. Hyde is cool, cute, great wide-range voice, good credible Rock.
Have you compared his solo works with L'Arc?! Or just the song "Blurry Eyes" for itself! Amazing how his voice can change...

Gackt is, well -_-# ... a pop idol. Not my kind of guy and music.
 
yea. in LArc's Tierra album there's dis song, In the Air. hyde can manage both very high and low pitch. ^_^ and i like the song Round and Round in the True album.

I love Vanilla, but I still am not too fond of Malice Mizer...I'm just not use to that type of music.. and I do love Finale it's soo awesome...all very good songs ^^...

The voices and lyrics. I love Gackt's singing and it's a plus that he CAN sing. Hyde can sing great too. I like Gackt more than Hyde though just because I knew about Gackt before Hyde. Anywho, but the image of both singers are just a bonus. I think Gackt is the most beautiful man I have ever seena dn i have never seen anyone as amazing as him. 😌

For Gackt, i love him because he sings great, writes great songs, being the only person on this planet who can dance strange dances w/o looking stupid, his piano skills, great hair and clothing style, great looks, and looking like a prince. :D

for Hyde, well i don't really know Hyde that well, i just started listening to him so i can't say much, but he has the look of an angel and i like his voice. it's kind of different... ^^ did i mention he looks like an angel? 😍
