while the latter requires an annual subscription fee, helpex is a hugely successful organisation overseas, principally in New Zealand and Australia. Registration is free and while there are as yet few hosts in Japan, from the wealth of hosts available in Japan to wwoof there is untapped potential for a great user oriented service. Any current wwoofers may wish to point their hosts towards this fledgling site.
