Hi I have this old log book and had 2 somewhat interpretations on it neither we're much help one dated it to 1936 any help on the cover translation and the second row from the bottom of the page are these ranks? ....... Marty

Front:
昭和七年一月以降 (January, Showa 7 Onwards)
配置變更簿 (變 = old form of 変) (Deployment change logbook)
隠戸先任衛兵伍長 (先任衛兵伍長 appears to be a rank - probably the man who kept the logbook, 隠戸 could be "Ondo" - a reference to a ship or a class of ships - oilers built in 1920 and used in WWII).

The second row from the bottom could be ranks in abbreviated form:
一水 = 一等水兵

The date is 1932, not 1936.

昭和七年一月以降
配置變更簿
隠戸先任衛兵伍長

Shōwa shichinen ichigatsu ikō
Haichi henkō bo
Ondo sennin eihei gochō

Since January, 1932
The book of deployment change
the leader of corporals of Ondo / the leader of corporals Ondo

(Ondo can be the name of an oiler, the name of a location or a surname. I think it refers to the first one here.)

EDIT:
Ooops, nekojita-san beat me.:emoji_blush:

Thanks so much for the helpful information ...... Marty
