Very serious... Over or UNDER

This is possibly the most serious question we deal with every day life that we can ALL relate too (unless you are just disgusting).

In your bathroom, do you have the toilet paper roll hang OVER and outwards, or foolishly have it droop back against the wall and under?

Now, I've tried to explain this to the infidels who think that under is better, but of course there is no logical or sensible reason for having it under! Yes, obviously the correct choice is having it hang over. Not only is it easily accessible, but it is more sanitary as it does not come into contact with the wall or other surface. It also looks better.

I figured we should have a poll to find out who is "over" and who is "under," for the obvious purpose of eliminating those heathens who choose the wrong answer from the face of the earth! ;D

the only valid reason to have under is if you have a cat that likes to bat at the roll.

There isn't much of a choice in most of Japan. Almost all toilet paper holders have a piece of plastic or metal that rests on top of the roll for ease of tearing. You'd have to be quite the rebel to still have the paper going in the under direction, given that.

I perfer to have it over, but since I have roommates the TP is always changing from over to under.

I like it hang over (1) because of the reason JimmySeal mentioned, and (2) besides I'm too used to it, rolls hang under somehow made me feel as if something is wrong.

Might depend on the gender. I'd think it is probably more sanitary and safer for women to go from front to back, and men to go from back to front. I'd give an in-depth reason why, but I'm not sure if I'd get banned for shear disgusting-ness Let's just say it has to do with the quantity, location, of hair and placement of auxiliary holes.

While growing up in New York City we always had it under and I figured that was the way it was supposed to be and was the only normal way. When I went to Japan I noticed that it was always over and figured they were wrong and I was right.

Today, If it's not over the top it is wrong IMO as I became accustomed to the "Japanese way". Besides, if it has a floral design or some kind of writing on it, it would make sense to come over the top.

Now that that is cleared up, the real question is do you wipe from front to back or from back to front?

For me it is front to back.

But my question would be how would a blind person know when they are finished wiping and are clean?

Mirrored with Pachipro, is NY the only "under" state ever? Usually it's over for me nowadays, but man under would mess with me. I'm also back to front. Blind person should be able to tell with the amount of friction.

I work in a store wich sels the things you keep the rolls in by the toilet.. And a lot of those are against the wall. So the paper wil hit the wall anyway
But in one of the toilets wi have the rolls vertical zo the whole think doesn't come to the question and in the downstairs toilet we don't mind it changes every weak
