Hi, I just finished my Japanese class in 台東 City office

Today we studied the usage of が

高いですが美味しいです Kind of thing

Can it be also

高いけれども美味しいです ？

Cause my teacher said けど is just usually informal Japanese, but its acceptable with friends and acquintances and ****..?

When there are alternate ways of expressing things, we are only called upon to be able to recognize them when other people use them. We still get to choose our own personal preferences for our own speech.

Usage of けど、 けれども、 が。

You have to adjust your speech to the situation. I suck at polite speech because I'm almost never in situations where polite speech is called for.

Desukeredo mo may be stiffer than, if not more equivalent to desuga that "keredo". But take it with salt because I also suck at polite Japanese.
