Unofficial Best in NY Auto Show: Inifiniti Essence?

Two English guys who do Formula 1 racing, and follow that circuit, were talking within earshot of me.

They had just been at the NY Auto Show and they asked each other..."Which one looked best"?

Answer from both: "The Inifiniti, amazing, real Corvettish lines, you wouldn't expect that from a Japanese manufacturer. One guy asked me the same question, and I told him the Infiniti, and there was dead silence for about 5 seconds."

"Well, you asked me, and I really feel it is best in show this year. Totally unexpected. Beautiful, and made by Nissan."

Question to the readers, didn't some French guy take over Nissan, and turn it around? This car looks real Italian or French, but I have to agree, it is contender for "Best in show", no doubt.

Renault has a controlling interest in Nissan. The CEO is Carlos Ghosn, who is admired in Japan for his success in turning about Nissan's fortune.

Nissan is back

Not to take away from the legions and LEGIONS of Toyota and Honda fans, but Nissan is back huge from where they were before this guy. Certainly congratulations on this Essence model which, as I am reading, is it a concept car or scheduled for production or what?

But it brings back crazy memories of my Datsun Pickup days, my beloved Datsun pickup truck I picked up in Los Angeles in 1972 or so, where Datsun Clubs were all over the place.

And then they changed the name to Nissan. Now, I can laugh. At the time, it was like my favorite friend moved away never to come back.

Congratulation on NIssan also to recently winning a New York City Police Department supplemental award for the Altima. More symbolic than anything, it shared the Japanese model acceptance by the City of New York with the Toyota Prius for their Traffic Agents Division.

These are sky high complements and testimonials for these products, and deserving too.

Could I ask for a simple Title change, to the correct spelling of
"Infiniti"

Well, end of show approaching, and the Infiniti was called one of the top ten sexiest.

I say, why not, best in show?
