Holdin' strong! About 4 more weeks until I find out! So scared so scared. No real contingencies in order yet.

Hi, Axion. I'm also waiting for the final result. How do you know that result will be published on May 1st week? I found some confusing information from various sources. Some say: result will be published within April'13, but other also say it May, June. July. I checked this forum that in 2011: Result was published on July 1st week and in 2012: on June last week.

I'm so excited to hear the final result. Wish you good luck

How do you know it will be announced by the end of May? Do you ask the university by yourself?

Hello, Angelia Stefani, I asked my Professor but she replied the result will be published on May. My cousin also stay in Japan now and he got the same 2 years ago. His professor told him that the result will be published on last week of May.

My professor confirm me today that i got 'University Recommended - MEXT Scholarship 2013'.

Hello Epiyo. Ask your Professor about the result. I'm sure that he/she must know the result now.

The academic section has email me and said that I have passed the MEXT scholarship selection.

Did you get any hard copy from your University Office or just a mail. My professor only confirm me but not university. Did your Professor confirmed you first?

Nope. The academic only inform me through email. It was cc-ed to my Professor.
She also said the international office will be the one who will help me for my pre-arrival preparation (such as: LoA, Ticket, Housing, etc)

The Int'l Office has sent me an email this morning.
They said that they will sent me important documents (Notice, Pledge, Letter of Acceptance) on July.
Hence they want me to confirm my mailing address.

Hi, Thanks for your information. I applied in Saga University. I also asked my professor and she said that Int'l office will email me in June'13. Waiting for their email.

Please update me about your process & i will also do mine.

Hello everybody, Today I received all documents (Letter of Admission, Pledge & Notice) from International Affairs Division of Saga University.

First of all, congratulations!!!!

I did get my result and I did not get the MEXT scholarship. However, I did get accepted into the school (Waseda GSAPS).

But now that I've been accepted, I don't think I'll be able to get the certificate of eligibility (COE) to get the visa and I don't think I'll be able to afford the program, so I don't think I can go.

Upon arriving and entering the orientation period in September, I'd be able to apply for scholarships and I am confident that I'd be able to get a tuition reduction (50%) and maybe some other scholarship(s), but I'd have to get a loan for $50,000 in the next 27 days in order to get the visa to study there.

If anyone has any ideas, I'm open to suggestions. Otherwise, I guess I'll just apply again next year or just follow a different path.

It's a bummer that the system is so different from the US and that you need all the money upfront.

Nah. I have received the notification letter by mail about 3 weeks ago.
I think this month they're going to send us the admission application form IINM.
