There's a few sellers who occasionally put up job lots of Japanese books on eBay UK. This is a great way of getting hold of reading material on the cheap.
1) This seller, who I have bought from before, occasionally puts up sets of books, usually mystery/suspense. He has a few good things open right now. I've gotten bunches of stuff at an average, including postage, of something like maybe £2 a book - yes, they're second hand and a bit battered, but totally readable.
2) This seller, also someone I can recommend, currently has a wholesale lot up of £1.50 per book and reasonable postage. Again, second hand but in decent condition.
It's worth keeping a regular eye out as these sort of listings come and go. Guys, please save me from myself, I'm running out of shelf space (and also space for more shelves).
