Hey I'm looking to apply for a Working Holiday visa. I already got this visa a few years ago (and used it), and I have two passports (British and French). Can I apply for the visa again on the passport I didn't use the first time around? It says on the british embassy website as a prerequisite "Have not previously been issued a Working Holiday Visa". Do they mean on the same passport or on any passport? Anyone with experience with this? Thanks a lot!

Some countries (Canada, based on a cursory look) seem to allow holders of dual nationalities more than one application. Japan stipulates that the applicant must never have been issued a Japanese working holiday visa in the past.

I'd interpret this to mean one application, regardless of how many passports one holds. Have you contacted your nearest Japanese embassy/consulate for more information?

The application has to be made at the embassy so probably best to start there. I'd suggest being honest even if it may not result in the outcome you want.
