Trying to Learn

I'm taking Japanese 1 and my class is really hard. From a group of 20 students there are 6 left, the rest dropped the class.

I like the idea of learning Japanese but I am failing at the moment. Is anyone willing to tutor me a bit? I am willing to pay for a section on msn/yahoo.

Welcome to the forum.

It's not the easiest language to learn I think but when you get the basics it is quite fun. On the forum we have a huge Japanese learning section, have a look around there and I am sure you will be able to find some good resources to use for your study. If you have any questions lots of members are willing to help you (as long as you try it yourself as well).

For tutoring, please have a look at the classified section instead of the forum itself.

That sounds like exactly what happened when I took Japanese as well. Everybody dropped out except the Asian exchange students and a very few others.

These days, I make my living using only Japanese, read Japanese books, and have raised my children as monolingual Japanese speakers....but way back when I FLUNKED the first Japanese course I took.

Stick with it. Start a thread in the Learning Japanese section and ask questions about things you need specific help with.
