Congratulations. It took me forever and a day to get through that. You're on track to have the basics well down in a year or two. How soon can you get to Japan ?

The conjugation rule for making i-adjectives past is equally simple.

Take off 「い」 from the i-adjective then attach 「かった」。


楽しいでした is actually a dialect form if you someday end up in rural Kagoshima prefecture, for example...

A minor correction: You shouldn't put "、" after "親切な".

oop! sorry, heh. Yes, I actually did wonder about the comma factor for a moment when I typed the sentences. I'm glad you mentioned it!

Elizabeth: I could just *hug* ya for saying "How soon can you get to Japan?" It's become a very important dream of mine, which I hope to make into a realistic goal one day.. but of course, right now, I have many things working against me for the possibility.

Just keep at it and it will happen. Good job on your kanji uses too.

Agree with Damicci (naturally). Use the time between now and then to really study the language AND Japan, save up money, and find the best travel deals you can find. ;-)

If you are in a position to manage it, I recommend a short trip once, though, and then coming back for a longer trip later on. The first time around, you will probably get a better idea of what you want to do on the second trip, and will have time to plan in advance.
