Hi there:
We are a couple going to a congress in Kyoto from November 8 to 17, in our first visit to Japan. We plan to travel only within the Kansai region. We'll arrive to Osaka Kansai International airport on November 8 in the evening. We plan to take a train to Kyoto, and travel on Nov.9 and 10. On Nov. 11, 12, 13 and 14 we will stay and use public transportation within Kyoto. On Nov.15 , 16,17 we plan to travel again, and on Nov.18 we'll take our flight back. Our plans are to travel to Nara, Osaka and may be Kobe and Koyasan. Is it worth to buy the JR West Kansai pass or the Kansai thru ( Surutto ) pass, or the Kinketsu pass? Does the Kansai thru pass include the trip from Osaka Kansai Int.airport to Kyoto? Does it or the JR West include public transport within Kyoto? What is the best way to get around within Kyoto?
Thanks a lot and we look forward to visit Japan
