I think for someone studying a language it is good to inject some words of that language into their own language as a means of keeping it in their mind to fit whatever meaning applies (but only with themselves and friends), i agree that it is annoying when people "label" themselves with a culture or group simply to look "cool", i worry that i may be just sort of "labeling" myself that way too, since i don't actually know anyone who is Japanese.
On another note, i haven't been able to think of any particular phrases i would like translated (now that i've found this part of the forum), but that always happens to me, i get an opportunity to have something done an easy way and i can't think of a good way to do it, i will probably think of something good when i'm nowhere near my computer....
