Translation help: I didn't go anywhere, I stayed at home

Hey guys,
I was wondering if you could help me with the translation for saying something along the lines of - 'I didn't go anywhere, I stayed at home' for when you stayed at home and didn't go out, in response to someone asking what you did that day or sometime in the past. My best guess is - どこにもいきませんでした、たからうちでとどまりました

I would say どこにも出かけず家にいました。
