Translation Help for Japanese Inscription

Hello,
I am new to the forum and am interested in Japanese art and history. I wanted to request help translating the inscription in the attached picture. It is on the top of a handle to a sword. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much for the prompt response - it is very helpful. Would the left side translate to 'Miya san kai'? If so, would that relate to some type of shrine meeting?

That's possible but not always so. In fact, google search says that there is a group of the same name in Saitama Prefecture. Their group name is an abbreviation of the name of their town 宮原町三丁目, so it has nothing to do with shrine. (Well, at least "directly". The town name 宮原 indeed could be from a shrine.)
