Before I fly out from Narita I'm planning on staying in Tokyo for as long as I can afford to, and I'm looking for cheap accommodation. I was recommended Sakura House , would this be a good option?

I simply plan on sightseeing and clubbing, and maybe buying souvenirs too.

Before I get to Tokyo I'll be travelling from Kumamoto, to Okinawa, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Nara, Himeji, Osaka and Shikoku, so I reason at most I should get to Tokyo with 300,000 yen, although in practise it might be as low as 150,000.

I don't want to stay in capsule hotels or ryokan, or dormitories, when clubbing, because being realistic it's very tough having a girl over in such a place

Sakura House is pretty popular. On short notice, there's not a ton of other stuff around. I had tons of acquaintances stay there, and they liked it.

Where RU planning on clubbing? The Tokyo club scene has definitely changed over the years... I guess any scene does though. Depends on what type of music/chics you're into. I've found, unfortunately, that the qualtiy of music varies inversely to the quality of women on the premesis. The after hours part at Maniac Love is probably the coolest party out there. Goes until 10:30 AM, but very small, very little lights, but has some fantastic tunes. Not the best look gals. If you go to a cheesy hip hop bar, you can throw a rock and hit a 9.

Haha, nicely put. Pretty much anything but reggae is fine by me, I can't stand it and can't understand why it's so popular here.

Excluding the ~50,000 yen for the month with sakura house, about how much would it cost to live in Tokyo for that one month? I'm used to finding cheap supermarkets for breakfast cereals, cup ramen lunches and pilaf dinners by now, so with a decent s-mart and good cooking facilities I probably wouldn't eat out that much. Though, I'm not sure what I'd do during the daytime after I'd been sightseeing in every part of Tokyo, but I figure that to stay in different Youth Hostels for just 2 weeks (they all have 3 day limits I think) would be just as expensive, not to mention most don't actually have private bedrooms...

where is Sakura house located? I'm moving to Japan soon but need somewhere to stay until I have an appartment.
